About Trademark Renewal

Registered Trademarks are valid for a certain period of time. The time period in India 10 years from the filing date. The renewal deadline is 6 months before the end of the protection period.

The application of renewal is made in a TM-12 form. The application can be made by either registered owner of the trademark or an agent authorised by him/her. Filing a trademark renewal application extends protection by another 10 years. The trademark registrations are valid for another 10 years, and must be renewed again before expiry.

After the filing of a trademark renewal, it is important to periodically check the status of the renewal application until it is processed by the Registrar. The trademark renewal may require numerous time-bound actions or response from the applicant. Therefore, it is important to continually check the status of the application and take the required action until the registration.

  • Self Attested PAN Card copy
  • Self Attested copy of any one of the Identity Proof(Voter's ID/Passport/Driver's License)
  • Self Attested copy of Address Proof in the name of director (Any utility bill i.e., mobile bill/water bill/ electricity bill, or bank statement which should not be older than two months)
  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Rent Agreement (Notarised: For rented property)
  • Sale Deed/Property Deed in English (in case of owned property)
  • No-objection Certificate from property owner
  • Latest Electricity Bill / Mobile or Telephone Bill / Latest Bank Statement/Gas Bill
